Andre Tan: "Let's build a healthy society that respects the needs of others!"
As part of the nationwide celebrations for Independence Day, the team of the brand, led by designer Andre Tan, is drawing attention to children with special educational needs. those with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, speech delays, and children with disabilities. Families with children with special needs are seeking support from the government and society.
"Today, together with my team, I want to support children with special needs: autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome and mental health disorders, and draw public attention to the special talent of these children. Our main message is the importance of society's acceptance of people with disabilities. It's not about pity or sympathy, but about understanding their needs and characteristics, equality, barrier-free access to education, work, freedom of movement, and leisure," comments André Tan.
The company ANDRE TAN has launched a social initiative to help children with disabilities. The company, a fashion leader in the country, has supported the Lviv public organization "Sunny Workshop," where special artists engage in painting. The hope is that fashion supporting children with special needs will become a timeless trend. An innovative art therapy technique, recognized in England and the USA, is the main tool of the workshop's educators. Olga Sanykovich, an artist by profession, and psychologist Olga Hermanovich, save and ease the emotional state of children with their professional attention.
Designer Andre Tan examined the drawings of the workshop's wards and transferred them to clothing from the Andre Tan brand - t-shirts and hoodies. This capsule collection is available for sale from August 20th. The money from the sale of clothing will be donated to the "Sunny Workshop" for the purchase of paper, paints, canvases, brushes, and for expanding the workshop's space, renting a larger premises to help more children with special needs.
"I want us not to ignore the problem, not to leave families with children with special needs on their own but to reach out and give attention to this issue," emphasizes Andre Tan.
The fashion portal for high society JetSetter.ua, public figures of the country, and showbiz stars such as Olya Polyakova, Olena Kravets, Natalia Mogilevska, Anna Rizatdinova, Valeria Huzema, and Jean Beleniuk have joined the social initiative to help children with special needs, photographed with the wards of the "Sunny Workshop.
